Immigration Legal Office Intern

Immigration and Citizenship

Description

Our Immigration & Citizenship Program is seeking administrative help in our immigration legal offices -- specifcally a volunteer intern to help the immigration legal staff manage cases, contact clients, and perform other legal administrative tasks.

Tasks will depend on your experience and education, and range from translating documents to filing notices in client files. Our interns work in a busy environment and will gain firsthand knowledge of immigration law while also helping hundreds of immigrant community members.

This opportunity is available every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with our preference being for you to serve each of these days weekly, with a commitment of 2-3 months. However, scheduling can be flexible, and interns can choose a schedule (part-time or full-time) that best fits their needs. Internships are unpaid, though applicants can also seek outside fellowship funding or school internship credit.

Come join our lively immigration office and get hands-on experience helping immigrants in our community!
